Discrete Element Modelling for Transfer Chute Design.
DEM enables quantitative evaluation of transfer designs
before manufacture and installation.
The technology has been used for both hard rock and coal applications
encompassing a wide variety of complicated geometry.
Apart from assisting with design,
the DEM technology can also be used to assess the feasibility of upgrades,
where a bottleneck at a transfer could result in under utilisation
of a significant associated investment.
